Current Circumstances

The Polk County Health Department provides a wide spectrum of services to the community and local government (see http://www.polkcountyiowa.gov/health/)

Services to community members (including many families and individuals who do not live in the County) are available for free or at a reduced cost.

The lobby at 1907 Carpenter provides a clean, updated appearance with large areas of wall space that provide an opportunity to enhance the experience of care for patients.

Artist Dick Shook proposes using the available wall space for the creation of a series of paintings that motivate, teach, and inspire about healthy living and lifestyles.
