I have to say that linen is my favorite surface and that it has been worth the work of stretching. It's a very taut, smooth, surface.

As I've tried to make these images effective and memorable, one of the things that I especially am excited about is the way that activities like swimming can change our perceptions of our world. The idea of being "weightless" is inspiring to me, along with the other ways that interacting in a water environment can enhance the joys of life like water droplets and rainbows, reflection and refraction of light, the intensity of light, how we hear sounds above and below water, the feel of water on the skin, bright colors in swimwear, how it feels to wear flippers and goggles, and other things that go beyond a simple workout like swimming laps.
