There was a time when bicycles shared an equal measure of status with the motorcycle, or what was a motor powered bicycle. Since that time, bicycle trails cover vast areas of Des Moines and Iowa. RAGBRAI's annual event draws thousands who travel the State from the Missouri to the Missippi. A great moveable camp that draws like minded people in love with the bicycle together.
I often see people traveling together in groups along the trails in our area. They enjoy each other's company, and encourage members along the way, not only to go somewhere, but to enjoy the moment of the ride itself. Many of these groups have families as part of their membership, riding tandum, and using child carriers and trailers.
